Virgin London Marathon 2010

The ballot for the Virgin London Marathon 2010 is open and I've just entered.

I'm not entirely sure why, but something is drawing me to do it again despite my injury problems the 2 years running.

Maybe it's because of the funky clothing range this year....is red my colour?!?

The chances of getting a place are very slim, but there's no harm in trying. I'll found out in September / October time as to whether I have a place so we'll just have to wait and see!

Running The Staines 10k

It's only a couple of weeks away now, 17th May to be precise and whilst I havent entered I am planning to take part. The day before, I'm off to Restaurant Gordon Ramsay for a Masterclass in cooking followed by lunch with Debbie my wife! Let's hope the rich food doesnt hamper my progress during the race.

I'm running the Staines 10k this year just for a laugh and not really bothered about doing a time. I have a couple of friends who are planning to run also, they have persuaded me to take part.

In preparation, I ran 2.5 miles on Sunday and really enjoyed it....it's been a while since I've done 6.2 miles but I'm sure I will be OK!!

2009 Flora London Marathon - It's all over...

Well this years London Marathon is right around the corner, this coming Sunday in fact and I sadly won't be there. I'm having all sorts of problems with my feet and havent really been running very much at all. I was planning to run the Staines 10k which is coming up soon but honestly dont feel up to it. I'm booked in for the Windsor Half Marathon in September which is something I'm going to work up to and then who knows, perhaps another Marathon. I'm off to Rome in a weeks time and very much looking forward to it - I won't be taking my running shoes...
