Back On The Treadmill

I'm back on the treadmill now, running 2.5 miles last night at what I would call a decent pace. I'm starting my training for the Windsor Half Marathon which I have run before - my plan is to break the 2 hour mark!! My quickest half marathon was 2 hours, 23 seconds which I ran at a relatively flat Silverstone Circuit - current home of the British Grand Prix. the Windsor run however is quite hilly to say the least, but I'm upping my training to increase my pace over the distance.

This weekend I'm off to Spain for some relaxation but also some pretty intense training. I've got Alex and his friend coming too and I'll be doing my best to get them out of bed early and out running with me before the sun comes up!! They should be as fit as a fiddle with all the pre-season training they have bee doing with Staines Town FC. We'll have to see....

Not Much Running Lately

I havent really done much since the last 10k where I whipped Will's butt around Ham. I managed a 5k the other day on the treadmill at a steady 5 min per km pace in my quest to break the 50 min barrier on my next 10k outing. That was fun but I fell slightly short on my time so I guess I need to keep trying.
